| Grace's Dessert Gathering
Last Wednesday, my cell group Judah had a gathering at Grace's house.
She invited our cell group to come over to enjoy/admire her dessert
making skills. Although I had a LITTLE (wee bit little) doubt
about it at first, that was all cleared when I tried her quiche. WAH!!
Goooood man I tell you! I LIKE! Her cookies and
chocolate cake were nice too. But WAH!! her lemon flan was THE BOMB!!!
Totally enjoyed her lemon flan with peach at the bottom man!! WAH!! I'm
such a sucker for stuff like that. I LOVE cookie crumbs based
desserts!! Or in this case I think it's digestive biscuits but I still
love them just as much!! PEACH!! AH! How I love peaches and woah... the
beaten cream on top..... MMMmmm... YUMMY!! Ok ok... I'll try to
control myself now.... WAH!! Grace is simply the BEST man!!
By the way, her house is DARN BIG!! WAH!!! And it's DARN NICE!!
I practically had to put my palm below my chin to keep my jaw from
hitting the ground. WAH WAH! What more can you ask from a
girl?! Pretty, rich, smart, funny, friendly, fun, down-to-earth and a
future doctor! Heh heh, no emoticon to show my impressed face so you'll
have to picture it for yourselves. So any takers?? I'll charge a very
reasonable fee to intro you to her. Although.... come to think
of it... MAYBE I should keep her for myself?!?! Hahaha....

All great food deserves a toast....

The great desserts... chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies, lemon flan and quiche....

I need to stop posing with alocohol in my hands....
Thanks Grace for the wonderful desserts... Hope to have it again soon... Really nice desserts!! THANX!

Photos!!!
Heh heh, nothing better to do so I decided to post up some
photos of my outing with my cell group to celebrate my birthday. There aren’t
many photos of me but at least there’ll be photos lar. Anyway, I’m sure
most of you would prefer photos of girls rather than me. I don’t have
that many photos but hopefully there
will be more after tomorrow. My cell group will be heading to Grace’s house for
a dessert feast. She’ll be enticing us to her house with a wide variety
of I HOPE delicious desserts. Nah, I’m just teasing. I’m sure they will
taste really good. GANBATE Grace!! No pressure yah?! Will blog about this
later.
Besides that, nothing much has been happening. I went to
watch Julian’s brother, Justin and his basketball team, Jokerz play a
basketball game last night with Yoong, Julian, Joanna, Amee and Carolyn. The
basketball game was alright with the Jokerz winning with a score of 33-21 or
something like that? Kinda expected a higher scoring game. Hahaha… I think I’ve
watched too many NBA games on TV. Well, best of luck to the Jokerz.
Been doing nothing at home. Sigh… Yoong’s such a jerk ass
for ffk-ing Lik and I for badminton today. I guess promises ARE meant to be
broken after all. Sigh… I’ve been VERY undisciplined regarding my “fitness
regime”. Been playing ONLY basketball for ONLY once a week recently. Sigh…. I’ve
been having supper once or twice too. I really need to pick things up
soon.
Regarding my job application status with EY, I really don’t
know lar. I haven’t gotten a reply from them ever since I submitted my web
results to them. I guess web results aren’t really trust worthy and MAYBE they’re
waiting for my official transcript. I don’t know lar. I really do want to start
working soon but from the looks of things I doubt so. Well, Julian has actually
offered me a choice of PwC but I really don’t know. I don’t think friends
working in the same department/team is THAT good an idea and I have other
indifferent feelings regarding joining PwC also lar. Well, I guess I’ll
continue praying and see what God has in store for me. Ok… now it’s
time for the photos.

Movies and such….
Ah… I’ve been able to catch 2 movies in the past week. I
watched The Pacifier on Wednesday and Guess Who on Thursday. Yupp!! 2 movies in
2 days. I guess the boredom has finally gotten to me. To those that
are interested, both movies are pretty funny. It’s a little hard to decide
which 1 is funnier but they are both alright. I like watching comedies in
cinemas because laughter makes you forget about the troubles of the world. I
mean, just being able to laugh and enjoy the comic relief of the movie is really
a pleasant experience. Of course the company matters a lot too. So I’ll have to
add that the company for both the movies were simply great.
Anyway, my results came out and they are in no way
exceptional. They are fine, but nothing to shout about. I’m totally
disappointed how it turned out but what the heck. Just let it be. I’ll leave it
as that.
Actually, I was doing a lot of thinking for the past few
days. I know I haven’t blogged about what’s been going on in this little brain
of mine for quite some time. Well, I was thinking that when I’m no longer around,
what would I like to be remembered for? I mean like maybe some will say “Oh,
Kevin WAS such a nice guy” or maybe “Ah… Kevin! What a joker!” How about “Hrm….
Kevin ah? He was ok lar… a bit lame and loud but ok lar” or even “Sob sob…
Kevin was such a sweet guy…” Hahaha… I’m sorry the last one just had to
be said. But you know what?! After giving it some serious thought… I realized
I didn’t want to be remembered or even known as being sweet or funny or
anything else. I want to be remembered/known for being myself and never
compromising that. The real Kevin might be excessively mean for all I care but
at least I’m being myself. So what if I curse, seem a bit cold and unfriendly,
manipulative, hot tempered, kiamsap, lazy or even lame?! That’s who I am. That’s
who Kevin is. Whether whichever side I show, it’s still me. I don’t want to be
fake. I don’t want to act all nice and friendly in front of you when I don’t
like you at all.

Fun Day….
I had a totally fun day last Saturday. First off, I went to
Klang for Bah Kut Teh with Bobby, Yeling and Julian. Yeah, we went to eat my
favorite Bah Kut Teh which happens to be Bobby’s favorite too. Julian also gave
it his stamp of approval. After brunch, Bobby took us to a handphone shop in
Klang town to check out Julian’s phone and the Bluetooth handsfree.
Surprisingly they were cheaper than World of Phones in Sungai Wang so Julian
decided to buy his handphone from there and I bought my Bluetooth handsfree
too. Woot! My newest toy!! Motorola Bluetooth handsfree HS850.
In the evening I went to church for some Alpha course
training session which turned out to be a discussion thingy rather than a
training session. An Alpha course is a course for non-believers or young
Christians to ask questions in regards to Christianity. I’ll be helping out
this course as a befriender, trying to make the non-believers comfortable in
the group. I encourage anyone who has any doubts or questions regarding
Christianity to attend this 12 week course. Every week, a new topic on
Christianity will be discussed. There is no pressure put on the participants
because you may drop out of the course any time you please. Most importantly,
don’t feel pressured to accept Christ because of the course. This course is
mainly to help you understand Christianity better and if you feel touched to
accept Christ then that’s a big plus. It’ll be a learning experience for me
too.
After that, I had a nice dinner with Judah, my cell group.
We had a pleasant dinner at Pizzeria Bella Italia at SS2 (same row as Murnis,
next to Public Bank) to celebrate my birthday. Haha… yes, although it’s SUPER
delayed but it’s the thought that counts. I was really glad that I was able to
spend some quality time with my cell group. I truly felt that times of
fellowship like this can really bring the group closer together. Ok, allow me
to name everyone who came. Jorja, Eugene, Cynthia, Grace, Yee Meng, David, Tim
and Eiran all came to celebrate my belated birthday. I was honestly very glad
to see each and everyone of them. Let me comment on the food at Bella Italia
first. I had the Tagliatalle Allo Pollo or something like that. It was fettuccini
like pasta in cream sauce with chicken and mushrooms. The cream sauce was
really nice except that it was too salty.
Anyway, after that the whole group proceeded to the SS2
McDonalds to just sit around and talk. We stayed there for about 1-2 hours just
sitting and talking about anything under the sun or moon in this case. It was
truly a very good time of fellowship for Judah. I had a really nice time. I’ll
post up pictures that I have as soon as I get them. Jorja, David, Eiran and I then
went for a drink at Souled Out, Sri Hartamas. Heh heh, David and I felt like
having a cold one but we didn’t want to show a bad influence to the younger ones.
Luckily for us they didn’t wanna come along either because it was already 11pm.
Well, having a few other people like Grace and Yee Meng would have been
real fun too but too bad Grace wanted to be back by 12. IMU student’s gotta
study you see. Well, in the end the 4 of us had a good time just
talking there. Enjoyable day for me.
